A.
There is created the office of Village Collector, an executive office
of the Village.
B.
The Village Collector shall be appointed by the President, with the
advice and consent of the Village Board. The Village Clerk may hold
the position of the Village Collector.
C.
The Village Collector shall be paid such salary as the Board may,
from time to time, establish.
It shall be the duty of the Village Collector to collect and
receive all money due on special assessments and special taxes that
are not paid directly to the Village Treasurer, to collect and receive
water tax fees and sewer charges, and to keep records pertaining to
the collections as may be required by statute or ordinance.
The Village Collector shall make reports regarding delinquent
special assessments as required by statute and shall make a monthly
report to the Village Board showing what money has been received and
the source thereof.
