Editor's Note: This local law was subject to mandatory referendum and was approved by the voters of the Town at the election held 11-3-1981.
This chapter shall be known as the "Games of Chance Law of the Town of Cochecton."
Unless the context otherwise requires, the meanings of terms used in this chapter shall be as follows:
AUTHORIZED ORGANIZATION
An authorized organization as defined in Subdivision 4 of § 186 of the General Municipal Law.
GAMES OF CHANCE
Games of chance as defined in Subdivision 3 of § 186 of the General Municipal Law.
Any authorized organization may, upon obtaining a license from the Town Clerk of the Town of Cochecton, conduct games of chance within the Town of Cochecton as provided in Article 9-A of the General Municipal Law. Such games of chance shall be conducted in accordance with the laws of the State of New York and with the rules and regulations adopted by the New York State Racing and Wagering Board.
