One- and two-family dwellings, as defined in the definition of "one- or two-family dwelling" in § 162-3 of the Village Code, are exempt from this chapter solely to the extent that a provision of this chapter conflicts with Chapter 162, Article I, One- and Two-Family Dwellings. In cases of conflict, Chapter 162, Article I controls. Notwithstanding the foregoing, requirements in this chapter may supplement the requirements in Chapter 162, Article I.
