In accordance with Connecticut General Statutes Chapter 411 and § 7-148(c)(7)(A)(vi), no person shall, from the effective date of this article, construct, install, establish, modify, or place an advertisement or sign within 15 feet from the outside line of any highway or public road, except that:
A. 
The state or the Town may erect signs that solely indicate highway directions, traffic regulations, and dangerous places;
B. 
The Board of Selectmen may permit the erection of temporary advertising signs, containing six square feet or less, designed to benefit local residents, charitable organizations, educational institutions, or Town organizations, within the limits of highways or public roads, but not in any location where such signs will obstruct the view along any highway or public road.
The Town shall remove any advertisement or sign that is displayed contrary to the provisions of this article.
