Whereas, Section 9-183a of the General Statutes of Connecticut
(Revision of 1958) provides that the number of Justices of the Peace
for each town shall be equal to 1/3 the number of jurors to which
such town is by law entitled, and
Whereas, by law, the City of Norwalk is entitled to 3,655 jurors,
and
Whereas, Section 9-183 of the General Statutes (Revision of
1994) provides that the city may, by ordinance, provide for the election
of a lesser number of Justices of the Peace for such city.
The number of Justices of the Peace shall be and the same is
fixed at 120.
