The title of this article is the "City of Nekoosa Comprehensive
Plan Ordinance." The purpose of this article is for the City to lawfully
adopt a Comprehensive Plan as required under § 66.1001(4)(c),
Wis. Stats.

The City Plan Commission under Wis. Stats., and under § 66.1001(4),
Wis. Stats., has developed this plan. The Comprehensive Plan of the
City of Nekoosa must be in compliance with § 66.1001(4)(c),
Wis. Stats., in order for the City Council to adopt this article.

The City of Nekoosa, by this article, adopted on proper notice with
a quorum and vote by a majority of the City Council present and voting,
provides the authority for the City to adopt its Comprehensive Plan
under § 66.1001, Wis. Stats.
The City Council of the City of Nekoosa has adopted written
procedures designed to foster public participation in the preparation
of a Comprehensive Plan as required by § 66.1001(4)(a),
Wis. Stats.
The Plan Commission of the City of Nekoosa, by a majority vote
of the entire Commission, recorded in its official minutes, has adopted
a resolution recommending to the City Council the adoption of the
City Comprehensive Plan, which contains all of the elements specified
in § 66.1001(2), Wis. Stats.
The City has held at least one public hearing on this article,
with notice in compliance with the requirements of § 66.1001(4)(d),
Wis. Stats.
The City Council of the City of Nekoosa, by the enactment of
this article, formally adopts the document entitled "City of Nekoosa
Comprehensive Plan Ordinance" pursuant to § 66.1001(4)(c),
Wis. Stats.

Pursuant to § 62.23(2) and (3) of the Wisconsin Statutes,
the City of Nekoosa is authorized to adopt or amend a comprehensive
plan as defined in § 66.1001(1)(a) of the Wisconsin Statutes.

all of the elements specified in § 66.1001(2) of the Wisconsin

The City of Nekoosa Plan Commission, by a majority vote of the
entire commission recorded in its official minutes dated February
21, 2023, has adopted a resolution recommending to the City of Nekoosa
Common Council the adoption of the comprehensive plan update and supplement.
The City of Nekoosa has held at least one public hearing on
this article, in compliance with the requirements of § 66.1001(4)(d)
of the Wisconsin Statutes.
The Common Council of the City of Nekoosa does, by the enactment
of this article, formally adopt the document entitled, "City of Nekoosa
Land Use Planning and Zoning Update – 2023": an amendment, update
and supplement to the City of Nekoosa Comprehensive Plan, pursuant
to § 66.1001(4)(c) of the Wisconsin Statutes.
