After the passage of this Part 2, it shall be unlawful for any
person to consume, drink or possess any alcoholic beverage in or on
any park or playground situated in the Borough of Mechanicsburg, Cumberland
County, Pennsylvania.

As used in this Part , the following terms shall have the meanings
provided:
ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE — A beverage which contains
1/2 of 1% or more of alcohol by volume.

Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions
of this Part shall, upon conviction thereof, be sentenced to pay a
fine not less than $500 nor more than $1,500, and costs of prosecution,
or to undergo imprisonment for a term not exceeding 30 days.

The provisions of this Part shall not affect any act done or
liability incurred, nor shall they affect any suit or prosecution
pending or to be instituted to enforce any right or penalty or to
punish any offense under the authority of any ordinance repealed by
this ordinance.
