§ 114-1 Title; purpose.

This chapter is entitled the "Town of Pacific Town Board General Ordinance." The purpose of this chapter is to confirm the Town Board's authority and provide for those related Town Board matters covered in this chapter. This chapter repeals and replaces any previously adopted Town ordinance as to those matters that are provided for in this chapter.

§ 114-2 Authority.

The Town Board of the Town of Pacific has the specific authority, powers and duties pursuant to §§ 60.10, 60.20, 60.22 and 60.23, Wis. Stats., and has, with authorization of the town meeting, additional statutory authority, powers and duties to manage and direct certain affairs of the Town of Pacific. In addition, the Town Board of the Town of Pacific has additional general and specific statutory authority, powers and duties established beyond Ch. 60, Wis. Stats.

§ 114-3 Confirmation of powers and duties.

The Town Board of the Town of Pacific has, by adoption of this chapter, confirmed the specific statutory authority, powers and duties of the Town Board of the Town of Pacific established in Ch. 60, Wis. Stats., and has established, pursuant to the above-noted chapter and this chapter, other statutory authority, powers and duties of the Town Board of the Town of Pacific to manage and direct the affairs of the Town of Pacific.

§ 114-4 Number of members on Town Board. [1]

The Town Board shall consist of five Supervisors elected at large, one of whom shall be designated as the "Chairperson," and the other four as Supervisor 1, 2, 3 and 4, respectively. In even-numbered years, the Town shall elect the Supervisors for seats numbered "one" and "three" for two-year terms. In odd-numbered years, the Town shall elect the Supervisor who is to be designated on the ballot to serve in the position of Chairperson and the Supervisors for seats numbered "two" and "four" for two-year terms.

§ 114-5 Quorum.

Three Supervisors shall constitute a quorum of the Town Board.
