The Town of Pacific prohibits, unless specifically exempted by this article or by order of the Town Board of the Town of Pacific, operation of any gas-powered motorboats on Lake George. Electric motors only are allowed.

A. 
The provisions of this article shall apply to the waters of Lake Columbia, located in the Town of Pacific, Columbia County, Wisconsin.
B. 
This article shall be enforced by the officers of the Town of Pacific, the Columbia County Sheriff's Department, and Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.
The intent of this article is to provide safe and healthful conditions for the enjoyment of aquatic recreation consistent with public rights and interests and the capability of the water resources.
State boating laws as found in §§ 30.50 to 30.71, Wis. Stats., are hereby adopted by reference.
A. 
No person shall operate a motorboat, as defined in § 30.50(6), Wis. Stats., that is propelled by an internal combustion engine or engines on the waters of said Lake Columbia. Electric motors only are permitted on said waters.
B. 
This provision shall not apply to law enforcement officers in the performance of their official duties or their assigns while conducting search and rescue or recovery operations.
The Town of Pacific shall place and maintain a synopsis of this article at all public access points within the jurisdiction of the Town pursuant to the requirements of § NR 5.15, Wis. Adm. Code.
Wisconsin state boating penalties, as found in § 30.80, Wis. Stats., and deposits, as established in the Uniform Deposit and Bail Schedule established by the Wisconsin Judicial Conference, are hereby adopted by reference, and all references to fines amended to forfeitures and all references to imprisonment deleted.
