Article I Operating Rules

[Adopted 1-13-1948 by Ord. No. 551; readopted 10-8-1991 by Ord. No. 873 as Ch. 13, Art. I, of the 1991 Code]

§ 20-1 Meeting time and location. [1]

The stated monthly meeting of the Council shall be the second Thursday of each and every calendar month at 6:00 p.m., prevailing local time, and shall be held in the Council Chambers in the Municipal Building at the corner of Fallowfield Avenue and Fourth Street.

§ 20-2 Order of business. [1]

At all voting meetings of Council, unless otherwise provided by law, the order of business shall be as follows:

A. Call to order;

B. Pledge to flag;

C. Roll call;

D. Approval or amendment of minutes from prior meeting;

E. Mayor's report;

F. Grievances and public discussion (limited to three minutes per speaker);

G. Report of standing committees;

H. Manager's report;

I. Action items being matters for which official action is to be taken.

§ 20-3 Procedural rules.

All meetings of the Council will be conducted according to Robert's Rules of Order.

Article II Salaries

§ 20-4 Compensation fixed. [1]

Compensation of each of the Councilmen of the Borough is hereby fixed at $125 per month, payable monthly from the general funds of the Borough.

§ 20-5 Attendance at meetings required.

No compensation shall be paid in any month to a Councilman who has failed to attend at least one regular meeting of Council during the month.
