The Borough Council of the Borough of Zelienople is hereby authorized,
currently and from time to time hereafter, to enter into intergovernmental
cooperation agreements, on behalf of the Borough of Zelienople, with
the Borough of Harmony, in the County of Butler, or any other Pennsylvania
municipality and the State of Pennsylvania, to provide police services
to such municipality, this provided that such municipality has passed
a corresponding ordinance authorizing the entering into of an intergovernmental
cooperation agreement with the Borough of Zelienople for the provision
of police services.
The Borough of Zelienople Police shall have under such intergovernmental
cooperation agreement full and complete police authority within the
jurisdictional limits of the municipality that has entered into such
intergovernmental cooperation agreement with the Borough of Zelienople.
The Borough of Zelienople hereby adopts and ratifies the intergovernmental
cooperation agreement titled as "Joint Municipal Agreement for Law
Enforcement Services" entered into by the Borough of Zelienople and
the Borough of Harmony on the 3rd day of January 2012.
By the passage of this Ordinance No. 819-12, the Borough of
Zelienople is hereby authorized to enter into intergovernmental cooperation
agreements with additional municipalities for the provision of police
services through the passage of a resolution of Borough Council.
