It shall be unlawful for any person engaged in a business, including but not limited to retail, commercial, industrial and manufacturing establishments, to remain open for business during the period from 12:00 midnight to 6:00 a.m., except those as set forth in § 76-2 hereof.
A. 
This chapter shall not apply to offices for business or professional use, hotels, restaurants where food and beverages are consumed primarily on the premises and any business establishment licensed to sell alcoholic beverages at retail for on-premises consumption.
B. 
This chapter shall not apply to work performed in a retail establishment as part of the daily opening or closing of the establishment, when it is not open for business to the public.
Each day a sale is conducted in violation of the chapter shall constitute a separate violation, and any person allowing, permitting or engaging in the continuation of the offense may be punished as provided in Chapter 1, Article II, of this Code for each separate violation.
