There is hereby established the position of Facilities Manager.
The Facilities Manager for Borough Hall shall serve at the pleasure of the Mayor and Council and can be removed at any time for cause or no cause.
The Facilities Manager shall be appointed to the position by nomination of the Mayor with the advice and consent of the Council of the Borough of Palisades Park.
The Facilities Manager shall be responsible for housekeeping, general repairs, carpentry and maintenance of municipal buildings.
The Facilities Manager shall have experience in the areas of housekeeping, general repairs, carpentry and maintenance, and at a minimum, the person:
A. 
Shall be fluent in English.
B. 
Shall be in good mental and physical condition.
C. 
Shall be of good moral character.
D. 
Shall not have been convicted of any crime.
The annual salary for the Facilities Manager shall be established and fixed by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Palisades Park through its annual Salary Ordinance,[1] but the initial salary range shall be from $35,000 to $45,000.
