[Adopted by Ord. No. 18-1991 (Sec. 31-2 of the 1998 Revised General Ordinances)]
As used in this article, the following terms shall have the meaning indicated:
REGULAR SOLID WASTE COLLECTION SERVICE
The scheduled pickup of solid waste at least once each week by a contractor lawfully providing such service within the Township.
RESPONSIBLE SOLID WASTE GENERATOR
Any property owner, tenant or occupant of any single-family or multiple-family dwelling within the Township or the owner of any other building or structure located within the Township the use or operation of which results in the generation of solid waste.
SOLID WASTE
Garbage, refuse and other discarded materials resulting from any domestic, business, commercial, agricultural, governmental or other activity or operation carried on within the Township. The term shall not include any materials which are required to be recycled by ordinances, rules and regulations of the Township.
A. 
Every responsible solid waste generator shall have a currently effective contract for regular solid waste collection service with a contractor lawfully providing such service within the Township.
B. 
This requirement shall not apply to a solid waste generator to whom regular solid waste collection service may be provided by the Township.
Within six months of the date of the adoption of this article, and at least once every six months thereafter, notices of the requirements of this article shall be published as an advertisement in the official newspaper of the Township so long as there are solid waste generators to whom regular solid waste collection service is not provided by the Township.
