The compensation for the Township Tax Collector for the collection of Township real estate taxes shall be set at $5 per tax bill generated and mailed by the Tax Collector and paid by the Taxpayer.
In addition to his or her duties as the elected Tax Collector, the Tax Collector and his or her successors are hereby appointed and authorized to prepare and issue real estate tax certifications, duplicate real estate tax bills and such other real estate tax documents as the Tax Collector shall determine would be required for the execution of his or her statutory duties. Such documents may be required to be provided by the Township to requestors pursuant to the Right-to-Know Act.[1]

The Tax Collector may charge the following fees for services, which fees shall be paid to and retained by the Tax Collector as additional compensation for providing the service:
A. 
In an amount to be established, from time to time, by resolution of the Township Board of Supervisors, for issuing a real estate tax certification for up to three years, certified.
B. 
In an amount to be established, from time to time, by resolution of the Township Board of Supervisors, for issuing a duplicate real estate tax bill for each tax year.
C. 
In an amount to be established, from time to time, by resolution of the Township Board of Supervisors, for preparing and issuing other written real estate tax information, provided that the total fee for each such informational document shall not exceed a total of $25.
D. 
In an amount established by the financial institution used for the depositing of real estate taxes, any fees due to returned checks for nonsufficient or insufficient funds.
If any sentence, clause, section or part of this article is for any reason found to be unconstitutional, illegal or invalid, such unconstitutionality, illegality or invalidity shall not affect or impair any other remaining provisions, sentences, clauses, sections, or parts of this article.
