The County Judge/Executive is hereby authorized to execute a proclamation prohibiting open burning in Henderson County when an extraordinary fire hazard exists in the County as determined by the National Fire Danger Rating System and Fire Occurrence and is also authorized to execute a proclamation extinguishing the prohibition when the extraordinary fire hazard no longer exists.
No person, when a proclamation as provided for above has been issued, shall light or maintain an open fire at any location in the County while such proclamation is in effect.
Any person who violates this chapter may be fined the sum of not less than $15 nor more than $500.
