The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this chapter, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning:
PARK
Any Town-owned parkland or open space.
PARK AND RECREATION BOARD
The governing Town department for parks and recreation. Its authorized agent is any administrative officer so appointed by such Board.

Parks shall be open from 1/2 hour after sunrise to 1/2 hour after sunset. No person shall enter or remain in park or recreation areas at other times except in those areas specifically designated, lighted and authorized for use by the Park and Recreation Board.
Any section of a park may be declared closed to the public, either entirely or for particular uses, by the Park and Recreation Board or its authorized agent at any time and for any interval of time, either temporarily or at regular and stated intervals.
A schedule of fees for special programs or use of facilities and for permits issued in accordance with the provisions of Article IV of this chapter may be adopted by the Park and Recreation Board.
On all park property in the Town, no person shall:
A. 
Be under the influence of alcohol or controlled drugs.

Consume any alcoholic beverages or use any controlled drugs.

C. 
Be in possession of alcoholic beverages or controlled drugs.

D. 
Permit dogs or pets to run at large.
E. 
Use loud, boisterous, threatening, abusive, insulting or indecent language or engage in disorderly conduct or breach of the peace.
F. 
Expose or offer for sale any article or thing, advertise or call attention to any article or service, or post signs of any nature in any location, except as expressly permitted by the Park and Recreation Board.[1]

A. 
Penalty. Any violation of this chapter shall be punished by a fine in accordance with § 1-2 of this Code, unless the act is also a violation of any state statute, in which case the state statute will control.
B. 
Ejection from parks. Any person violating any section of this chapter may be ejected from any park within the Town.
