A parking authority is created for the Town in accordance with
the Connecticut General Statutes.

The Parking Authority previously created by ordinance shall have the following powers in addition to those provided in C.G.S. Chapter 100:
A.
Supervision. The Parking Authority shall have supervision over municipal
parking lots now or hereafter acquired or established by the Town
except those under the supervision of boards with governing authority.

B.
The Parking Authority shall establish rules for use of municipal
parking lots under its supervision, including hours of use, duration
of parking and designation of long-term and employee parking areas.
Such rules and amendments thereof shall become effective after a duly
noticed public hearing, held Monday through Friday after 6:00 p.m.,
approval and 20 days following publication of notice of passage in
a newspaper having general circulation in the Town. Suitable warning
signs shall be installed.

C.
The Parking Authority may establish a schedule of fines for violation of such rules which shall be ticketed and paid in accordance with §§ 390-4 and 390-5. Offending vehicles shall be subject to removal as provided in § 390-6.[1]
