Wherever a space is marked off on any street for the parking of an individual vehicle, every vehicle parked there shall be parked wholly within the lines bounding that space, and it shall be a violation of this Part for any person to park a vehicle or allow it to remain parked otherwise.

It shall be unlawful for any person to stop, stand or park a vehicle (other than a pedalcycle) on the roadway side of any vehicle stopped or parked at the edge or curb of any street, except that standing or parking for the purpose of loading or unloading persons or property shall be permitted on the following named streets on Monday through Saturday, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. and between the hours of 1:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., and for no longer than necessary for the loading or unloading.

It shall be unlawful for any person to park a vehicle or to allow the same to remain parked, at any time between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. on any of the following portions of the highways of the Hamburg on the days hereby respectively designated for street sweeping purposes:

1. 
It shall be unlawful for any person to park or leave standing on any street, alley or cartway within the Borough limits, any motor vehicle having a registered gross weight in excess of 7,000 pounds or a registered combination gross weight in excess of 7,000 pounds; provided, however, that such vehicles may be parked temporarily for the purpose of unloading goods, furnishings, merchandise, property or wares used in connection with a residence or business within the Borough limits. Said vehicle shall be removed immediately after the loading or unloading is completed which, in no event, shall exceed 24 hours.
2. 
It shall be unlawful for any person to park or leave standing any type of nonmotorized vehicle or trailer including, but not limited to recreational vehicles, upon any street, alley or cartway within the Borough; provided, however, that such nonmotorized vehicles may be parked temporarily on the Borough's streets, alleys and cartways for the purpose of loading and unloading the vehicle, in which case it may be temporarily parked for not more than 24 hours; and provided, further, that such nonmotorized vehicles used in connection with the operation of a business may not be parked for loading purposes unless such vehicle is parked within 50 feet of the business that it is servicing.

1. 
It shall be unlawful for any person to park or leave standing any type of motor vehicle upon any street, alley or cartway within the Borough for a period exceeding seven consecutive days.
2. 
In the enforcement of this provision, the peace officers of the Borough shall have authority to make such marks upon parked vehicles as may be necessary to determine the length of time such vehicles have been standing on a Borough street, alley or cartway.
3. 
In the event that a peace officer of the Borough determines that a motor vehicle has been parked in violation of this section, a notice informing the owner of the motor vehicle of the violation of this section shall be sent by first class mail to the registered address as determined by the Borough giving the owner an additional seven days to move the motor vehicle from its location on the Borough street, alley or cartway. In addition, the Borough peace officer may, at his discretion, place such placard or notice on the motor vehicle's window or windshield setting forth additional notice that the vehicle shall be moved within seven days.
4. 
Should the owner of the vehicle fail to move the motor vehicle within the prescribed time, the Borough peace officer may thereafter attach to the parked motor vehicle official parking ticket(s) giving notice of the violation of this section.
5. 
Each day that the vehicle remains parked in violation of this section shall constitute a separate offense and subject the vehicle's owner to a separate and distinct offense.
6. 
It shall be unlawful for any person to erase any mark made upon any parked vehicle as provided in this section for the purpose of evading any of the provisions of this section or to take any other action to deface, damage, move, obstruct, destroy or change any notice or parking ticket which may be placed on a vehicle in accordance with this section.

If a person shall violate any provision of this Chapter 15, that person shall be guilty of a violation of this chapter and, upon conviction thereof, shall be sentenced to pay a fine of not less than $40, plus costs, or imprisonment for not more than 30 days, or both, except that violations involving a handicapped parking space shall be governed by § 15-809 of this Chapter 15. Each day that a violation of this chapter occurs shall constitute a separate violation of this Part.
