A Township Planning Commission, to be composed of five members, appointed as provided by law (P.S. 53 §§ 10202 and 10203), is hereby created in and for the Township of Coolbaugh. The Planning Commission shall perform all duties and may exercise all powers conferred by law upon Township planning agencies; provided, the Planning Commission previously created in and for the Township of Coolbaugh shall constitute the tenure of any of the members thereof, but any and all vacancies in the Commission, hereafter occurring, shall be filled in the manner and for the term provided in the law governing second class township planning commissions in effect at the time of the happening of the vacancy.
A. 
The membership of the Coolbaugh Township Planning Commission shall be governed by the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code and, in particular, 53 P.S. §§ 10203 and 10205.
B. 
Any member of the Coolbaugh Township Planning Commission, once qualified and appointed, may be removed from office for malfeasance, misfeasance or nonfeasance in office or for other just cause by a majority vote of the Coolbaugh Township Board of Supervisors, subject to the conditions and requirements of the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code, 53 P.S. § 10206. Just cause warranting removal from membership of the Coolbaugh Township Planning Commission shall include, but not be limited to the following:
(1) 
Malfeasance in office;
(2) 
Misfeasance in office;
(3) 
Nonfeasance in office;
(4) 
Unexcused and repeated absenteeism (missing four or more Planning Commission meetings in any calendar year);
(5) 
Participating in unethical activities;
(6) 
Conducting oneself in an unprofessional manner at Planning Commission meetings; or
(7) 
Other just cause as determined by the Board of Supervisors.
A. 
Planning Commission members shall be compensated as follows:
(1) 
$100 per Planning Commission Meeting attended.
B. 
Planning Commission members shall only be compensated the above-referenced amount per Planning Commission meeting actually attended. Members shall not be compensated for meetings they did not attend and/or for meetings that were canceled.
