Every person, firm or corporation engaged in the business of
transmitting, distributing and selling natural gas under franchise
in this City for lighting, heating and power and for any and all other
purposes shall pay to the City of Appleton City, Missouri, as a license
or occupational tax therefor a sum equal to five percent (5%) of the
gross revenue derived from the same within the City limits. Annual
franchise fee payments shall be made on or before March first (1st)
for the preceding calendar year ending December thirty-first (31st).
