This Article shall be known as the
"Off-Premises Canvassing Ordinance."

The following words, terms and phrases,
when used in this Article, shall have the meanings ascribed to them
in this Section, except where the context clearly indicates a different
meaning:
Any commercial activity in which any goods or services are
sold or offered for sale or for rent.
Any food or beverage intended for human consumption.
Any tangible item, including edibles.
Distribution of information or solicitation of customers
on publicly owned property or right-of-way in connection with a business.
Includes the street, sidewalk and colonnade area between
Main Street and the City Hall parking garage.
Any trade or offer of trade of currency, credit, service,
or goods.
Any work, attraction, amenity or act rendered for sale.

It shall be unlawful to engage in off-premises canvassing in the following location between the hours of 6:00 P.M. and 2:00 A.M. the next following morning on publicly owned property or right-of-way of Main Street between First Capitol Drive and Adams Street; except that vendors duly authorized by Section 680.030 shall be exempt from this Article.
