A. 
Ward I shall consist of all the land within the City limits lying east of the centerline of State Street extending from the southernmost boundary to the northernmost boundary.
B. 
Ward II shall consist of all the land in the northwest Section of the City described as follows: Beginning at a point on the centerline of South State Street, said point being centerline station 680 + 85.5; thence west along the south boundary of blocks, X, W, & V in the Workman's First Addition Subdivision to a point on the centerline of Washington Avenue; thence north along the center line of Washington Avenue to a point in the intersection of Washington Avenue and West Workman Street; thence west along the centerline of West Workman Street to the southwest corner of the Workman's Addition Subdivision; thence north along the west boundary of Workman's Addition Subdivision to a point on the centerline of West McPherson Street; thence west along the centerline of West McPherson Street to a point on the west City limit line; thence north along the City limit line to the northernmost point on the centerline of North State Street; thence south along the centerline of North State Street to the point of beginning.
C. 
Ward III shall consist of all the land in the southwest section of the City described as follows: Beginning at a point in the centerline of South State Street, said point being centerline station 680 + 85.5; thence south along the centerline of South State Street to the southernmost point on South State Street, centerline station 718 + 05; thence west along the City limit line to a point on the centerline of West McPherson Street; thence east along the centerline of West McPherson Street to the northwest corner of Workman's Addition Subdivision; thence south along the west boundary of Workman's Addition Subdivision to a point on the centerline of West Workman Street; thence east along the centerline of West Workman Street to a point in the intersection of West Workman Street and Washington Avenue; thence along the centerline of Washington Avenue to the southwest corner of Workman's First Addition Subdivision; thence east along the south boundary of blocks X, W & V in the Workman's First Addition Subdivision to the point of beginning.

All City elections shall be conducted and held in conformance with the provisions of Chapter 115, RSMo.

A. 
A municipal election for the qualified voters of this City shall be held on the first (1st) Tuesday after the first (1st) Monday in April of each year.
B. 
On the first (1st) Tuesday after the first (1st) Monday in April of odd-numbered years, a municipal election of the qualified voters of the City of Knob Noster shall be held for the purpose of electing a Mayor, who shall hold his/her office for a term of two (2) years, and until his/her successor is elected and qualified.
C. 
On the first (1st) Tuesday after the first (1st) Monday in April of odd-numbered years, a municipal election of the qualified voters of the City of Knob Noster shall be held for the purpose of electing one (1) Alderman from each ward who shall hold his/her office for a term of two (2) years, and until his/her successor is elected and qualified.
D. 
On the first (1st) Tuesday after the first (1st) Monday in April of even-numbered years, a municipal election of the qualified voters of the City of Knob Noster shall be held for the purpose of electing one (1) Alderman from each ward, who shall hold his/her office for a term of two (2) years, and until his/her successor is elected and qualified.
E. 
On the first (1st) Tuesday after the first (1st) Monday in April of odd-numbered years, a municipal election of the qualified voters of the City of Knob Noster shall be held for the purpose of electing a Collector. The Collector shall hold his/her office for a term of two (2) years, and until his/her successor is elected and qualified.

Editor's Note: In the election held 4-5-2022 a majority of the electorate voted to make the Chief of Police an appointed position taking on all duties of the City Marshal. This will go in effect after the current City Marshal's term has ended and a Chief of Police has been appointed.

Any person who desires to become a candidate for an elective City office at the general City election shall file with the City Clerk, not prior to the hour of 8:00 A.M., on the sixteenth (16th) Tuesday prior to, nor later than 5:00 P.M., on the eleventh (11th) Tuesday prior to the next City municipal election, a written declaration of his/her intent to become a candidate at said election. The City Clerk shall keep a permanent record of the names of the candidates, the offices for which they seek election, and the date of their filing, and their names shall appear on the ballots in that order.

The City Clerk shall, on or before the sixteenth (16th) Tuesday prior to any election at which City offices are to be filled by said election, notify the general public of the opening filing date, the office or offices to be filled, the proper place for filing and the closing filing date of the election. Such notification may be accomplished by legal notice published in at least one newspaper of general circulation in the City.

In City elections, the City Clerk shall notify the County Clerk prior to 5:00 P.M. on the tenth (10th) Tuesday prior to any City election or within seven (7) working days after the candidates' names are certified, whichever is later, of the forthcoming City election. The notice shall be in writing, shall specify that the Board of Aldermen is calling the election, the purpose of the election, the date of the election, and shall include a certified copy of the legal notice to be published including the sample ballot. The written notice shall be executed on behalf of the Board of Aldermen by the Mayor of the Board, and shall include the attestation of the City Clerk and shall have affixed thereto the Seal of the City of Knob Noster.
All officers elected to offices or appointed to fill a vacancy in any elective office under the City Government shall be voters under the laws and Constitution of this State and the ordinances of the City except that appointed officers need not be voters of the City. No person shall be elected or appointed to any office who shall at the time be in arrears for any unpaid City taxes or forfeiture or defalcation in office. All officers, except appointed officers, shall be residents of the City.
