(a) 
Any construction or alteration of wharves, docks, piling or other structures along, abutting upon, or extending into lakes, rivers, channels and canals in the township in violation of this article is hereby declared to be a nuisance.
(b) 
Any person who shall violate or refuse to comply with or resists the enforcement of any provisions of this article, upon conviction thereof by a court of competent jurisdiction, shall be punished as provided in section 1-11. The township building official is hereby authorized and empowered to make complaint before a court of competent jurisdiction when, in his opinion, the provisions of this article have been violated. Completion must be 60 days after the first inspection, additional time to be granted by the building department.

The township board may institute injunction, mandamus, abatement or any other appropriate action or proceedings to prevent, enjoin, abate or remove any erection, alteration, maintenance or use of wharves, docks and piers contrary to or in violation of the terms of this article.
