[Ord. No. 995 §803, 5-19-1987]
The driver of a vehicle approaching a yield sign shall in obedience to such sign slow down to a speed reasonable for the existing conditions, or shall stop if necessary, and shall yield the right-of-way to any vehicle in the intersection or approaching on another highway so closely as to constitute an immediate hazard during the time such driver is moving across or within the intersection; provided if a driver is involved in a collision with a vehicle in the intersection, after driving past a yield sign without stopping, such collision shall be deemed prima facie evidence of his failure to yield right-of-way.
[Ord. No. 995 §804, 5-19-1987]
The driver of a vehicle about to cross the street from an alley, private road, or driveway shall stop such vehicle immediately prior to driving onto a sidewalk or onto the sidewalk area extending across any alleyway, yielding the right-of-way to any pedestrian as may be necessary to avoid collision, and upon entering the roadway shall yield the right-of-way to all vehicles approaching on said roadway.
[Ord. No. 995 §805, 5-19-1987]
The driver of a vehicle about to enter into any alley, private road, or driveway from a street shall yield the right-of-way to any vehicle or pedestrian traffic.
[Ord. No. 995 §806, 5-19-1987]
No driver of a vehicle shall enter the crosswalk of a traffic-obstructed intersection, unless there is sufficient space beyond the intersection and opposite crosswalk to accommodate the vehicle without obstructing the cross passage of other vehicles or pedestrians, notwithstanding any traffic-control signal to proceed.
[Ord. No. 995 §808, 5-19-1987]
A.
The driver of any vehicle shall yield the right-of-way to any pedestrian lawfully crossing or on the roadway as herein provided in this chapter.
B.
Whenever any vehicle has been stopped to permit a pedestrian to cross the roadway, the driver of any other vehicle approaching from the rear shall not overtake and pass such stopped vehicle.
[Ord. No. 995 §809, 5-19-1987]
The driver of a vehicle approaching an uncontrolled intersection shall yield the right-of-way to any vehicle which has entered such intersection. When two vehicles enter, or are about to enter, an intersection at the same time, the driver of the vehicle on the left shall yield to the driver of the vehicle on the right.
[Ord. No. 995 §810, 5-19-1987]
When two (2) or more vehicles traveling on intersecting streets are both required to stop in compliance with stop signs, the driver of the vehicle that stops first shall have the first right to proceed if he can do so safely. When two (2) vehicles enter, or are about to enter, an intersection at the same time, the driver of the vehicle on the left shall yield to the driver of the vehicle on the right.
