The City hereby adopts as its Building Code the Building Code of St. Louis County as is set forth in St. Louis County Ordinance No. 27,654, with local amendments as adopted on April 1, 2020, effective July 1, 2020, with the additions, deletions, insertions, and changes prescribed by Section 500.020 of this Article and providing that wherever St. Louis County or a division, department, or official of St. Louis County is referred to in the aforementioned ordinances of St. Louis County, it shall be construed to mean this City or the corresponding appropriate division, department or official. The provision above shall not apply to any contract entered into by the City with St. Louis County under the Building Code of St. Louis County and providing for inspections to be performed by St. Louis County on behalf of the City.
A.
Any
additions, deletions, insertions, and changes made to the Building
Code by St. Louis County are attached hereto, referred to, adopted
and made a part hereof.
B.
The
term "Building Official", whenever employed in this Chapter or in
the Building Code of St. Louis County, shall mean the City Engineer
or his/her designee, except as regards any contract entered into by
the City with the County and providing for inspection to be performed
by the County on behalf of the City, in which case the term "Building
Official" shall mean the Director of Public Works of the County or
his/her duly authorized representative.
