A. 
In accordance with Section 402 of the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code,[1] the Board of Supervisors shall refer the Official Map or amendment and accompanying ordinance to the Township and Lancaster County Planning Commissions for their review and recommendations at least 45 days prior to the public hearing.

B. 
A report of the Township Planning Commission's review, together with any recommendations, shall be given to the Board of Supervisors in writing within 45 days from the date of the referral. The recommendation of the Township Planning Commission shall include a specific statement as to whether or not the proposal is in general compliance with the intent of the adopted Township Comprehensive Plan.
C. 
The Board of Supervisors shall not act on the proposal until the recommendation of the Lancaster County Planning Commission has been made, unless the County Planning Commission has failed to act on the proposal within 45 days.
A. 
If the Official Map shows any street or other public land intended to lead into any adjacent municipality, a certified copy of the Official Map, or amendment thereto, shall be forwarded to such adjacent municipality in accord with Section 408 of the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code.[1]

B. 
An adjoining municipality may offer comments and recommendations to Brecknock Township regarding the proposed Official Map or amendment. The Board of Supervisors shall not act on the proposal until the recommendation of the adjoining municipality(ies) has (have) been made, unless the municipality(ies) has (have) failed to act on the proposal within 45 days.
C. 
Local authorities and the Brecknock Township Parks and Recreation Board may offer comments and recommendations to Brecknock Township regarding the proposed Official Map or amendment.
The Board of Supervisors shall establish a time and place at which parties of interest and citizens shall have an opportunity to be heard on the proposal. Notice of such public hearing shall be given in accordance with the requirements of the Municipalities Planning Code.
At the time and place specified, the Board of Supervisors shall conduct a hearing on the proposal to adopt or amend the Official Map and shall thereafter either reject the proposal or adopt an ordinance establishing the proposal. The Board of Supervisors may adjourn said hearing in its discretion to a time and place certain.
The Official Map, and as may be amended, shall be certified by the signatures of the Board of Supervisors and attested by the Brecknock Township Secretary, under the following: "This is to certify that this is the Official Map of Brecknock Township referred to in the Official Map Ordinance of Brecknock Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania," together with the date of enactment of this chapter. The Official Map shall be kept on file with the Brecknock Township Secretary.
