Unless otherwise posted, no person shall operate or drive a motor vehicle, except authorized emergency vehicles on emergency runs, on any street or thoroughfare in this City at a rate of speed in excess of twenty (20) miles per hour.
Speed limit signs may be posted on roadways within City limits as the Board of Aldermen shall determine, but such signs shall be posted in any event near the entrance to City boundaries as follows:
Ann Avenue
Boly Lane
Crescent Avenue (east and west boundaries)
Meramec Station Road (northbound at Crescent Avenue)
Meramec Station Road (southbound at north City boundary with the City of Manchester)
No City speed limit sign shall be posted along Big Bend Road.
Speed limit for all vehicles within the City park or any commercial shopping center or public parking lot shall be five (5) miles per hour.
There shall be established a maximum speed limit of thirty-five (35) miles per hour for that portion of Meramec Station Road between Crescent Avenue and Big Bend Road. There shall be established a maximum speed limit of thirty (30) miles per hour for that portion of Meramec Station Road between the northern City limits and Big Bend Road.
There shall be established a maximum speed limit of fifty (50) miles per hour for that portion of Route 141 which transverses City boundaries more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at Route 141 station 12+275, a point 37.107 meters south of the northern City limits, thence, running in a southerly direction to the southern City limits at Station t 3 + 825, the point of ending, a distance of 1.1 km.
There shall be established a maximum speed limit of ten (10) miles per hour for Robert Hartzog Lane.
