A.
All users must register and obtain a badge from the Livingston Senior,
Youth and Leisure Services Department (SYLS). The badge, in the form
of a sticker, which will contain a personal ID number, must be worn
on the protective helmet worn by the skate park user.
B.
Residents of Livingston shall skate for free. Nonresidents will be
required to purchase, for a one-time fee of $50, a badge which will
allow them to skate at the Livingston Park. If either a Livingston
resident or nonresident needs to replace his/her badge, then an administrative
fee of $10 will be charged. Pursuant to Ordinance No. 36-1997, the
Town Council by resolution can modify these fees if requested by the
SYLS Department.

C.
All users must sign the Livingston Skate Park "Participation Release
of Liability Form." Participants under the age of 18 must have their
parents or guardians also sign this form. This form must be done at
the time of obtaining a skate park badge.
D.
You must be at least seven years old to skate in the park. Ages seven
through 10 must be supervised by an adult, of a minimum age of 18
years old.
E.
The skate park is a skate-at-your-own-risk facility, designed for
skateboarding, inline skating and BMX biking only. The skate park
will not be supervised. Users will skate at their own risk.
F.
All participants under the age of 17 years must wear a helmet as
mandated by the New Jersey Statute Title 39. Knee, elbow and wristbands
are strongly recommended for skaters age 11 or older but are mandatory
for skaters younger than age 11.

G.
All participants must wear proper footwear (i.e., sneakers) and shirts
at all times.
H.
Motorized vehicles and scooters are not permitted in the park at
any time.
I.
Only skaters are allowed in the skate park area. No spectator will
be allowed in the skating area.
J.
All participants must skate in such a manner as to avoid collision
with other skaters.
K.
Fighting and other aggressive or disruptive behavior will result
in the loss of the helmet and badge and privileges at the park.
L.
No food or drink is permitted inside the skate park.
M.
Littering, glass containers, alcoholic beverages, drugs, pets, radios
or boom boxes are prohibited.
N.
Graffiti or purposeful defacing of the park will result in prosecution.
O.
Smoking is not permitted anywhere within the skate park grounds.
P.
Use of profanity or abusive language and/or vandalism is strictly
prohibited.
Q.
No skating is permitted when the equipment is wet and/or icy.
R.
No organized events or concerts of any kind are allowed without the
approval of the Livingston Senior, Youth and Leisure Services Department.
S.
Skateboarding is discouraged outside the skate park.
T.
Lessons will be offered by the SYLS on designated days and hours.
The skate park will not be open for normal use on those days.
U.
The skate park will open, weather permitting, during posted hours
only: Monday through Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to dusk; Sunday, 10:00 a.m.
to dusk.
V.
Failure to abide with these rules and regulations may result in suspension
of the individual's ability to use the skate park.
