There is hereby established within the City of Lake Ozark, Missouri,
an advisory board to be known as the Park and Recreation Board. The
Park and Recreation Board shall consist of six (6) voting members.

A.
Membership. The ex officio members and six (6) voting members
shall be as follows:
1.
Aldermen representative. One (1) Board of Aldermen representative,
appointed by the Mayor and approved by a majority of the Board of
Aldermen.
2.
Citizen members. Four (4) citizen members who reside within
the City limits, appointed by the Mayor and approved by a majority
of the Board of Aldermen with initial terms as follows: one (1) member
for four (4) years; one (1) member for three (3) years; one member
for two (2) years; one (1) member for one (1) year. All citizen members
hereafter appointed shall be appointed for terms of four (4) years
each.
3.
At-large representative. One (1) at-large representative
appointed by the Park and Recreation Board President and approved
by a majority of the Park and Recreation Board. This representative
may reside outside the City limits, however, he/she must reside within
the School of the Osage R-11 School District. The initial term for
this appointment is for one (1) year and shall be reappointed for
terms of one (1) year at the first (1st) meeting in January.

Ex officio members. Mayor, City Administrator and Park and
Recreation Director.
B.
Compensation Of Membership. All members of the Park and
Recreation Board shall serve without compensation.
C.
Vacancy Of Membership.
1.
Any
vacancies in membership of the four (4) citizen members shall be filled
for the unexpired term thereof by appointment by the Mayor and approval
of a majority of the Board of Aldermen.
2.
Any
vacancy of membership of the one (1) at-large representative shall
be filled for the unexpired term thereof by appointment by the Park
and Recreation Board President, which shall be approved by a majority
of the members of the Park and Recreation Board.
D.
Removal Of Membership.
1.
Any
citizen member or at-large representative member is subject to removal
for cause, said cause shall be stated in writing and only after public
hearing as to said cause.
2.
Any
citizen member or at-large representative member who is absent for
three (3) consecutive meetings or five (5) meetings in a calendar
year shall be removed and the vacancy filled as outlined herein.
E.
Rules Of Membership. No member of any other board or commission
of the City of Lake Ozark, Missouri, shall be appointed to the Park
and Recreation Board except as outlined herein.

A.
Four
(4) members shall constitute a quorum at any meeting.
B.
The following
officers shall be voted on and established annually at the first (1st)
meeting in January of each year: President, Vice President, Secretary
and Treasurer.
C.
The Park
and Recreation Board President shall conduct and preside at all meetings;
if the President is absent the Vice President shall conduct; and if
the President and Vice President are absent, the Secretary shall conduct.

A.
The Park
and Recreation Board shall hold regular meetings as established by
the Park and Recreation Board.
B.
The Park
and Recreation Board may make recommendations to the Board of Aldermen
on City sponsored recreational and cultural programs and events.
C.
The Park
and Recreation Board shall make recommendations to the Board of Aldermen
on the improvement, care, maintenance and operation of the City of
Lake Ozark's park and recreation system and facilities.
D.
The Park
and Recreation Board may adopt bylaws, rules and regulations for its
orderly conduct and business.

The City Administrator or his/her designee shall administer
to the activities and operation of the Park and Recreation Department.
The City Administrator shall outline the Park and Recreation Director
position and duties.
