There is hereby established a Police Department of the City
which shall consist of the Chief of Police and such Police Officers
as the Board of Aldermen may from time to time provide.

A.
The
Chief of Police and Assistant Chief of Police to the City of New Haven,
Missouri, shall reside within the City limits of the City of New Haven,
Missouri.
B.
All
Police Officers employed full-time after the effective date of this
Section, shall reside within a specific geographic area. This geographic
area shall include the area within a northern boundary of the Missouri
River and a southern boundary shall be the centerline of Highway 50.
The eastern boundary shall be the centerline of Highway 47, including
the entire City limits of Washington. The western boundary shall be
the centerline of Highway 19, including the entire City limits of
Hermann.
C.
Full-time
officers are non-probationary officers who are normally employed forty
(40) hours per week.
D.
The
Chief of Police and Assistant Chief of Police shall comply three (3)
months after date of appointment or effective date of this Section,
whichever event is sooner.
E.
Full-time
Police Officers shall comply within one (1) year after completion
of a probationary period or, if a currently employed officer, within
one (1) year of the effective date of this Section.
