There is hereby created the office of Municipal Court Administrator.

The position of Municipal Court Administrator shall be an hourly position and the compensation for the office shall be determined from time to time by the Board of Aldermen by ordinance. The Mayor shall appoint the Municipal Court Administrator with approval of the Board of Aldermen. The Municipal Court Administrator position shall be a full-time position and shall maintain an office in the City Hall during the hours established by the Mayor. The Municipal Court Administrator shall be under the general direction and supervision of the Mayor and the City Clerk for administrative and general direction not related to Court-related directives of the Municipal Judge.

The Municipal Court Administrator shall serve as an at-will employee as such term is commonly used in the State of Missouri.

The Municipal Court Administrator shall perform all the duties set forth in Section 25 of Ord. No. 879 relating to the Municipal Court, and shall be under the general direction and supervision for Court matters of the Municipal Judge. The Court Administrator shall abide by the Municipal Court Operating Rule No. 1, Statutes and Rules and Regulations of the Office of State Courts Administrator, the St. Louis County Presiding Judge, in handling Court-related affairs of the Municipal Court.

The Municipal Court Administrator shall give bond to the City in the sum of fifty thousand dollars ($50,000.00) conditioned on the faithful discharge of all of the duties of that office, with such surety or sureties and upon such terms as may be approved by the Mayor. The cost of such bond shall be paid from the General Revenue Fund.
