A.
For the
purpose of this Section, "motor vehicle" is defined
as any automobile, truck, motorcycle or other self-propelled vehicle.
B.
Every
motor vehicle owned by a resident of the City of Woodson Terrace must
be licensed, provided that this Section shall be deemed to apply also
to motor vehicles regularly used and operated within the City.
C.
No license
shall be required nor shall any fee be collected from a resident of
the City of Woodson Terrace on motor vehicles used exclusively outside
of the City of Woodson Terrace and that fact may be shown by the affidavit
of the motor vehicle.
D.
License
stickers issued for the year 1993 will be the surplus 1992 stickers,
thereafter the City Collector may have printed, at the expense of
the City, a sufficient quantity of license stickers of such material
that they may be affixed to the windshield of a motor vehicle. The
license sticker shall bear the words "City of Woodson Terrace".
E.
The license
provided for herein shall be issued annually effective the first (1st)
of each year.
F.
License
fee of three dollars fifty cents ($3.50) for cars, five dollars ($5.00)
for trucks and three dollars ($3.00) for motorcycles and other self-propelled
vehicles are payable to St. Louis County as a part of the St. Louis
County personal property tax assessment.
G.
License
stickers may be issued upon request by the City Collector upon proof
of payment of license fee.
H.
In the
event of loss, mutilation or destruction of any existing license sticker
or metal plate or in the case of a transfer of ownership where the
original owner procures another motor vehicle, a replacement sticker
or metal plate may be issued by the City at no charge.
