Editor's Note — As per ord. no. 1232 §§1 —
2, adopted April 6, 2007, the governing body hereby establishes a
temporary moratorium of 365 days from the adoption of said ordinance
on new permits for so-called "payday loan" or "title loan" establishments.
No application for a permit to operate a "payday loan" and "title
loan" establishment within the city shall be accepted, processed and/or
considered until the expiration of the temporary moratorium period.
The intent of this moratorium is to ensure the preservation and enhancement
of the community's public health, safety and welfare.
