The following schedule of fees is hereby established and adopted
by the Township of Morris for copies of the public records of the
Township of Morris:
A.
Copies of up to 8 1/2 inches by 14 inches: $0.07 per page.
C.
Electronic records.
(1)
Copy
of electronic document or database. The following fees cover the cost
of copying existing files to a CD: $0.50. Any requests for software
conversions shall be subject to the special service charge described
below. For security reasons, the use of a CD provided by the requestor
is prohibited.
D.
A special service charge shall be imposed, in addition to the actual
cost of duplicating the record, where the nature, format, manner of
collation or volume of printed matter is such that it cannot be reproduced
by ordinary document-copying equipment in ordinary business size or
where such record involves an extraordinary expenditure of time and
effort to accommodate the request. The fee shall be assessed on a
case-by-case basis using the standards and criteria established by
the Government Records Council, as may be amended from time to time.
The requestor shall have the opportunity to review and object to the
special service charge prior to it being incurred.
E.
Conversion of records from one medium to another: cost of duplication
plus special service charges as follows:
(1)
Conversion of paper record to electronic form: N/C.
F.
Applicable postage shall be added for any and all records requested
by mail.
G.
A deposit shall be paid prior to filling any anonymous request where
it is estimated that the information requested will cost in excess
of $5 to reproduce. The amount of the deposit shall equal the total
estimated cost of filling the request.

Letters of good conduct: $5.
C.
Police reports and fingerprinting fees.
(2)
For the reproduction of police videotapes, there shall be a fee of
$50 per tape, and for the reproduction of cassette tapes, there shall
be a fee of $10 per tape.
(3)
All persons required to be fingerprinted by the Morris Township Police
Department who are applicants for a firearm permit, taxi license,
canvassing permit or liquor license or are an employee of a liquor
licensee, where such fingerprints are submitted to the Federal Bureau
of Investigation, shall pay a fee required by the Federal Bureau of
Investigation for processing such fingerprints. Such fee shall be
payable at the time the applicant is fingerprinted by the Police Department,
and such payment shall be in the form of a money order or cashier's
check made payable to the Federal Bureau of Investigation. No such
fingerprint processing shall be accomplished without the payment of
the aforesaid fee and in the manner provided therefor.
E.
Bad check service charge: $20.
G.
Use of police vehicles and fire vehicles of the Township of Morris
to accompany police officers or firefighters who have been privately
contracted for shall be paid by the third party to the Township of
Morris at a rate to be established by resolution of the Township Committee.

H.
Private duty extra work by police officers and firefighters, as allowed
by the Police Chief or Fire Chief, shall be billed at an hourly rate
to be established by resolution of the Township Committee. Said sum
shall be paid to the Township of Morris, which will in turn remit
to the officers or firefighters pursuant to a memorandum of agreement.

I.
Duplicate tax sale certificate: $100.

J.
Lien redemption figure request fee. Following the placement of a
lien on a property for a delinquent property tax or other municipal
charges, each party with interest in the property is entitled to two
lien redemption figures at no cost. For each subsequent request, the
party will be charged $50. Lienholders will be charged $50 for each
request.

The proper Township official is hereby authorized and directed
to collect the fees set forth above, and, upon collection of the same,
said fees shall be forthwith turned over to the Treasurer of the Township
of Morris for deposit to the appropriate account of the Township of
Morris.
Where state law imposes a different fee than that herein set
forth, then the fee established by state law shall be charged in its
place and stead.
This article shall take effect on November 1, 1995.
