A.
The
Street Superintendent shall have care of all street tools used in
his/her department, and he/she shall be held responsible for their
loss and abuse.
B.
At
the expiration of his/her term of office, he/she shall deliver to
his/her successor or to the City Administrator, as he/she may be directed
by the Board of Aldermen, all tools.
C.
It shall be the duty of the Street Superintendent to see that all streets and alleys are kept clean and cause all obstructions and rubbish to be removed. He/she shall inspect the sidewalks and crossings of the City and when any sidewalk shall be out of repair, he/she shall verbally notify the owner, occupant, or agent of the property of such needed repairs, and if such owner, occupant, or agent does not immediately repair said sidewalk, such fact shall be, by him/her, reported to the City Engineer who shall proceed in accordance with Section 515.090 of the Municipal Code of the City.
