A. 
Duties. The Sewer Superintendent shall have charge of the operation and management of the sewage treatment plant.
B. 
Inspections. He/she shall make such inspections as are necessary to carry out the provisions of this Chapter.

It shall be unlawful to discharge to any natural outlet within the City, or in any area under the jurisdiction of said City, any sewage or other polluted waters, except where suitable treatment has been provided.

Except as hereinafter provided, it shall be unlawful to construct or maintain any privy, privy vault, septic tank, cesspool, or other facility intended or used for the disposal of sewage.

The owner of all houses, buildings, or properties used for human occupancy, employment, recreation, or other purposes, situated within the City and abutting on any street, alley, or right-of-way in which there is now located or may in the future be located a public sanitary or combined sewer of the City, is hereby required at his/her expense to install suitable toilet facilities therein and to connect such facilities directly with the proper public sewer in accordance with the provisions of this Section, within ninety (90) days after date of official notice to do so, provided that said public sewer is within one hundred (100) feet of the property line.

A. 
Every residence and building within the corporate limits of the City of Seymour in which human beings reside, are employed or congregate shall be required to have an approved method for disposal of human excreta.
B. 
Septic Tank.
1. 
Whenever a residence or building is provided with one (1) or more water flush toilets, the contents from said toilets shall be discharged into a septic tank; provided no public sewer is provided as specified in Subsection (B).
2. 
Said septic tank shall be constructed in accordance with the materials and workmanship set forth in the International Plumbing Code (a copy of which shall be available at the City Clerk's office).
