GENERAL REFERENCES
Sewers and sewage disposal — See Ch. 370.
The Water Pollution Control Authority shall consist of six members, who shall be electors of the Town of Middlefield.
A. 
Two members shall reside in the area of Middlefield which has sewer service to Middletown along Route 66 and whose homes are connected to the Route 66 system.
B. 
Two members shall reside in that area contained within the proposed sewer system service area as shown in a map entitled "Lake Beseck Sewer System Service Area, Middlefield, Connecticut," dated September 17, 1996.
C. 
Two members shall reside in the remainder of Middlefield not included in Subsection A and B.
After passage of this chapter, the Board of Selectman shall appoint two members to serve until December 31, 1997; two members to serve until December 31, 1998; and two members to serve until December 31, 1999. Thereafter, members shall be appointed by the Board of Selectmen for three-year terms. No member shall be deemed to have left office until the vacancy is filled by the Board of Selectmen.
Any vacancies in the Water Pollution Control Authority caused by other than expiration of the term of office shall be filled for the unexpired term by the Board of Selectmen.
