A certain document, a copy of which is on file in the office of the Township Manager for the Township of Aleppo, being marked and designated as the "International Property Maintenance Code, 2009 Edition," as published by the International Code Council, and all subsequent editions, be and is hereby adopted as the Property Maintenance Code of the Township of Aleppo, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, for the control of buildings and structures as herein provided, and each and all of the regulations, provisions, and penalties, terms and conditions of said code are hereby referred to, adopted, and made a part hereof as if fully set forth in this chapter, with the additions, insertions, deletions and changes, if any, prescribed in § 290-2 of this chapter.
The following sections are hereby revised:
A. 
Section 101.1: insert "Township of Aleppo, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania" where applicable.
B. 
Section 112.4: insert "Any person who shall violate any provision of this code or shall fail to comply with any of the requirements thereof or who shall erect, construct, alter, or repair a building or structure in violation of an approved plan or directive of the Building Inspector, or of a permit or certificate issued under the provisions of this code, shall be punishable by a fine not to exceed $1,000, plus costs, and, in default of payment of such fine and costs, to imprisonment not to exceed 30 days."
C. 
Section 302.4: insert "10 inches" where applicable.
D. 
Section 304.14: insert "April 15 to November 15" where applicable.
E. 
Section 602.3: insert "September 15 to May 15" where applicable.
F. 
Section 602.4: insert "September 15 to May 15" where applicable.
All other ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
Nothing in this chapter or in this Property Maintenance Code hereby adopted shall be construed to affect any suit or proceeding pending in any court or any rights acquired, or liability incurred, or any cause or causes of action acquired or existing under any Act or ordinance hereby repealed as cited in § 290-3 of this chapter, nor shall any just or legal right or remedy of any character be lost, impaired or affected by this chapter.
This chapter is not intended to and shall not be interpreted to conflict with or supersede any provision of the Pennsylvania Uniform Construction Code, and in all cases where the requirements of the Pennsylvania Uniform Construction Code impose a higher standard or burden for compliance than the provisions of this chapter, the requirements of the Pennsylvania Uniform Construction Code shall prevail.
