There is hereby established a Board of Local Improvements of the Village of Bannockburn, which Board shall consist of the President and members of the Board of Trustees of the Village.
The Board of Local Improvements shall have the powers and perform the duties assigned to it by the act entitled: "An Act Concerning Local Improvements," in force July 1, 1897, and all acts amendatory or supplementary thereto, and such other powers and duties as may be assigned to it from time to time by ordinance.[1]

The Board of Local Improvements shall designate one of its members to act as Secretary of the Board and shall keep adequate records of all work undertaken by it, showing the work undertaken, the work accomplished, the expenditures made, and the amount of money received.
