The provisions of this Article relative to the creation of the
office, compensation, etc., of the Code Enforcement Official shall
apply only during those times when the City Administrator or other
City Official or department has not been designated to assume and
carry out the duties of the Code Enforcement Official. During such
times as the City Administrator shall have been designated to assume
and carry out such duties, such duties shall be the same as those
assigned to the Code Enforcement Official by this Article or by other
City ordinances.

The office of Code Enforcement Official of the City is hereby
created. The duties of the Code Enforcement Official shall be the
enforcement of the building, zoning and nuisance ordinances or provisions
of this Code.

The compensation of the Code Enforcement Official shall be fixed
from time to time by the City Council and shall be additional to any
other compensation he/she may receive as Health Officer.
