In accordance with the provisions of Chapter 320, and when signs are erected giving notice thereof, it shall be unlawful for any person to drive a vehicle at a speed in excess of the speeds listed below on the streets as designated.
The Following Areas Shall Be Designated 15 mph Speed Zones:
Franklin Avenue, from East Newton north to its terminus in the Airpark.

Maple Street, from 125 feet north of 6th Street to 55 feet south of East Newton Street.
15 mph
Parks, all roads and driving surfaces within City parks.
15 mph
South Godfrey, from 10th Street south to end of street/City limits.
15 mph
West 11th Street, from South Walnut west to end of street/City limits.
15 mph
West 12th Street, from South Walnut west to end of street/City limits.
15 mph
The Following Areas Shall Be Designated 15 mph Speed Zones Between the Hours of 7:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. (School Zones):
East 15th Street, from 240 feet west of South Maple to 255 feet east of Old Tuscumbia Road.

North Street, from 145 feet east of Grand to 75 feet west of Auror.

Old Tuscumbia Road, from 15th Street south 90 feet.
15 mph
South Aurora, from 45 feet north of West 2nd Street to 70 feet south of North Street.

South Maple Street, from 95 feet north of East 10th Street to the intersection of East 15th Street.

South Pine Street, from the intersection with West North to the intersection of West 2nd Street.

West 1st Street, from the intersection with South Aurora to the intersection with South Pine

West 1st Street, from the intersection with South Spruce to South Grand.

West 2nd Street, from 70 feet west of Aurora to 165 feet east of South Grand.

Business 54 East, from Aurora Street east to North Vanosdall.

Grand Avenue, from Highway 52 north to Happy Avenue.

Highway 52, from the CC Highway east and south to .02 miles south of 17th Street.

The Following Areas Shall Be Designated 35 mph Speed Zones:
East 8th Street, from 195 feet east of South Colorado eastward to Industrial Drive.

The Following Areas Shall Be Designated 40 mph Speed Zones:
Business 54, from North Vanosdall to the east City limits.
40 mph
87 Highway, from Business 54 north to the north City limits.
40 mph
Grand Avenue, from Happy Avenue to the north City limits.

Highway 52, from .02 miles south of 17th Street to the south City limits.
40 mph
Highway 52, from the west City limits to Grand Avenue.

Highway Y, from Ava Street to the west City limits.

North Street, from Manor Drive to U.S. 54.

Speed Limits for All Other Areas:
When a speed limit sign is present, the speed limit shall be as posted on the sign. Only signs officially placed by the City, County, road district or State of Missouri shall be enforced in this manner. Only white signs with black lettering shall be enforced in this manner.
When a speed limit sign is not present and the area is not specifically referred to in this schedule, the speed limit shall be 25 miles per hour on any other street, alley or highway within the corporate limits of Eldon, Missouri.
Speed Limits on Interstate Highway in Eldon
The speed limit, as posted by the Missouri Department of Transportation, shall be enforced on all interstates and/or divided highways within the corporate limits of the City of Eldon.
