[1997 Code § 77-1]
(All fees are subject to the provisions of N.J.S.A. 47:1A-5)
A. 
Any person shall have the right, in person, to purchase copies of Police reports upon the payment of the following fees:

B. 
In the event that copies of reports are requested other than in person, an additional fee of $5 for the first three pages and $1 per page thereafter shall be added to cover the administrative costs of the report.

The provisions of this chapter shall not apply to the copying of any records for the official and exclusive use of the State, or any political subdivision thereof, or by any public board, body, commission or authority created pursuant to law by the State or any of its political subdivisions.

The City Clerk shall be and he is hereby authorized and directed to establish such internal controls for the receipt and payment of moneys pursuant to this chapter as shall be necessary to proper fiscal administration and shall do so with the advice and consent of the Municipal Auditor. All funds collected by any custodian hereunder shall be paid over to such person or deposited to the credit of such accounts as may be designated or established by the City Clerk, in accordance with this chapter.
