The appointing authority shall have the authority to remove
from any appointed body, board or commission any member appointed
thereto, based upon absenteeism from scheduled meetings of the body,
board or commission. For purposes of this section, "absenteeism" shall
mean unexcused absence for eight consecutive weeks or from four consecutive
regular meetings of the body, board or commission, whichever is longer.
The authority granted the appointing authority hereunder shall be
exercised in his/her/its discretion.
