A.
Vehicular traffic is limited to paths and roads designated for that
purpose only.
B.
Vehicular parking is allowed only in designated parking areas.
C.
The speed limit for all vehicles is five miles per hour.
D.
The use of motorbikes and/or off-the-road vehicles is prohibited,
unless there is specifically set aside an area of the park for that
purpose.
E.
The Borough of Honesdale will not be responsible for any damages,
injuries, etc., to any vehicle operated or parked and also will not
be responsible for any personal injury or property damage other than
to vehicles arising out of the use of the park.
F.
The entrance to the Schoonover Cemetery in the Fair Avenue Recreational
Complex is to be left open.
Vandalism, removal of park property, littering, use of alcoholic
beverages, open fires, overnight camping, hunting, trapping, swimming
in other than designated areas and keeping of pets which are unleashed
are hereby prohibited.
All parks open at 5:00 a.m. and close at 9:00 p.m. every night,
which hours are strictly adhered to unless written approval is granted
by the Honesdale Borough Council.
Special permits allowing any deviation from these above rules
must be obtained from the Recreation Committee and a quorum of the
Honesdale Borough Council at least 24 hours prior to said activity
taking place, and all requirements of the special permit must be met
before the permit is granted.
The provisions of this chapter shall apply to the following
parks:
Any person who violates any provision of this chapter shall,
upon conviction thereof before a District Justice, be fined not more
than $600, plus costs of prosecution, and, in default of payment of
such fine and costs, be imprisoned for not more than 30 days.
