The Saint Louis County Building/ Swimming Pool and Spa, Residential, Existing Building, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Explosives Code( s) as amended by the County of Saint Louis, Missouri through date of last amendatory ordinances:
1. 
Building Code, Chapter 1115, including the Swimming Pool and Spa Code, Chapter 1118, SLCRO 27,654 (Approved 12/18/19, Adopted 04/01/20), as amended;
2. 
Residential Code, Chapter 1116, SLCRO 27,654 (Approved 12/18/19, Adopted 04/01/20), as amended;
3. 
Existing Building Code, Chapter 1117, SLCRO 27,654 (Approved 12/18/19, Adopted 04/01/20), as amended;
4. 
Mechanical Code (including Fire Suppression Systems, Elevators and Conveying Systems, Amusement Rides and Periodic Inspections of Mechanical Equipment), Chapter 1108, SLCRO 27,619 (Approved 12/05/19, Adopted 04/01/20), as amended;
5. 
Electrical Code, Chapter 1102, SLCRO 27,430 (Approved 06/18/19, Adopted 10/01/19), as amended;

are hereby adopted as the Building, Swimming Pool and Spa, Residential, Existing Building, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Explosives Code(s) of the City of Berkeley, Missouri.

The Saint Louis County Mechanical (Elevators and Conveyor Systems only) Code as amended by the County of Saint Louis, Missouri, through the date of the last amendatory ordinances:
1. 
Mechanical Code (Elevators and Conveyor Systems only), Chapter 1108, SLCRO 27,619 (Approved 12/05/19, Adopted 04/01/20), as amended;
is hereby adopted as the Mechanical (Elevators and Conveyor Systems only) Code of the City of Berkeley, Missouri, a copy of which is attached hereto, as if fully set out herein and held on file in the City offices.

A. 
The Code of Ordinances of the City of City of Berkeley is hereby amended by amending Chapter 500, "Building and Construction," to adopt by reference the 2015 International Building Code (IBC), the 2015 International Residential Code (IRC), the 2015 International Energy Conservation CODE (IECC), 2014 National Electric Code (NEC), the 2015 International Mechanical Code (IMC), the 2015 International Plumbing Code (IPC), the 2015 International Fuel Gas Code (IFGC), the 2015 International Existing Building (IEBC), 2015 International Property Maintenance Code (IPMC); and the 2015 International Fire Code (IFC); as Codes of the City of City of Berkeley governing the construction and maintenance of buildings in the City. The amendments to the various Sections adopting the Codes and the amendments thereto are as set out in this document. A copy of these Codes, with a copy of this ordinance attached and the approved amendments, shall be kept on file at all times in the office of the City Clerk for reference and inspection during regular City business hours. The City Clerk and Building Commissioner shall also be furnished a copy of each Code book; and the Fire Chief shall be furnished a copy of the IBC and IFC, with a true and correct copy of this ordinance attached for use and reference.
B. 
Whenever the words "State" and "municipality" appear in said documents, the same shall be construed to mean "State of Missouri" and "City of Berkeley, Missouri", respectively.
C. 
Penalty. Any person violating any of the provisions of this Article or the Code adopted in this Article shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in an amount not exceeding five hundred dollars ($500.00) or be imprisoned in the City or County Jail for a period of not exceeding ninety (90) days, or both such fine and imprisonment. Each day such a violation is committed or permitted to continue shall constitute a separate offense and shall be punishable as such hereunder.
