There is hereby created the office of Village Treasurer of the
Village of Homer Glen, who shall be appointed by the Village President
with the advice and consent of the Village Board.
In addition to such other duties as may be required from time
to time by direction of the Village President, the Village Treasurer
shall perform all of those certain duties and have all of those powers
set forth in Sections 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70, 75, 80 and 85 of
Article 3.1, Division 35, of the Illinois Municipal Code (65 ILCS
5/3.1-35-40 through 65 ILCS 5/3.1-35-85), and shall further be required
to post with the Village Clerk a surety bond conditioned upon the
faithful and lawful performance of the duties of the office of Village
Treasurer in an amount of money not less than three times the population
of the Village as determined by the most recent federal decennial
census.
