There is hereby created the Economic Development Board hereinafter called the "Board".

The Board shall consist of eight (8) members as follows:
Mayor
Member of Board of Aldermen
One (1) member of financial community
One (1) member representing insurance
One (1) member representing certified public accounting
Two (2) members of business community

All citizen members of the Board shall serve without compensation.

All citizen members of the Board shall be appointed to serve a term of four (4) years, except that the terms of the citizen members first appointed shall be as follows: Three (3) - two (2) year appointments, two (2) - four (4) year appointments. Vacancies shall be filled for the unexpired term by the Board of Aldermen.

The Board, on or before November first (1st) of each year, shall choose a Chairman, Vice Chairman, and a Secretary from the citizen members. Term of the Chairman, Vice Chairman and Secretary shall be for one (1) year with eligibility for re-election.

The Board shall hold regular meetings monthly, call special meetings as required, and shall adopt and, from time to time, amend rules of procedure for the transaction of business and keep a record of the Board proceedings, which record shall be public record.

Subject to the approval of the Mayor and Board of Aldermen, the Board shall adopt and promulgate the rules and regulations for the conduct, administration and management of funds and shall further assist, advise, and direct as deemed necessary the promotion of the City of Camdenton for economic development. The Board shall make recommendations to the Board of Aldermen on all leases, economic development, applications and improvements to the community in compliance with established policies as promulgated by the Missouri Department of Economic Development.

The Board shall actively pursue the expansion of job creation opportunities through eligible economic development activities.
