The Town Board of the Town of North East designates the Supervisor, the property control manager and each of the department heads as departmental fixed asset custodians.
The Town Board also requires that each departmental fixed asset custodian conduct a physical inventory of his department and submit to the property control manager by December 1 of each year a complete updated listing showing all additions, deletions and changes to the fixed assets in their custody.
The Town Board requires the property control manager to keep records showing the acquisition cost, where purchased, any warranties, guarantees or repair contracts.
The Town Board also determines that the minimum value for the accounting records of the Town be set at $250.
