GENERAL REFERENCES
Solid waste — See Ch. 362.
As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
LITTER
Includes any wastes, including rubbish, refuse or garbage, and including any glass, metal, paper, cartons, plastic, plant growth, wood, ashes, wire, cans, bottles or any used materials.
PERSON
Any natural person, association, partnership, firm or corporation.
No person shall dump, deposit, throw or leave any litter on, along or within the road right-of-way of any road or highway in Manor Township.
No person shall drop, deposit, throw, or leave any litter on, in or along any sidewalk, park or playground, or any other public place or upon any private property or into any stream within the Township of Manor.
No person, within the Township of Manor, shall sweep or deposit litter on or into any gutter, water drainageway, drainage pipe or culvert, sidewalk, street, road, park or playground or any other public place.
No person within the Township of Manor shall in any way obstruct any road or road right-of-way in any manner whatsoever, including but not limited to placing any litter within the road or road right-of-way; depositing any earth within the road or road right-of-way so as to cause any change in the natural terrain or drainage of that particular area.

Any person who violates or permits a violation of this chapter shall, upon conviction in a summary proceeding brought before a Magisterial District Judge under the Pennsylvania Rules of Criminal Procedure, be guilty of a summary offense and shall be punishable by a fine of not more than $1,000, plus costs of prosecution. In default of payment thereof, the defendant may be sentenced to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 90 days. Each day or portion thereof that such violation continues or is permitted to continue shall constitute a separate offense, and each section of this chapter that is violated shall also constitute a separate offense.
